The prime minister underwent a gallbladder surgery on September 25 in Virginia after attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York, reports bdnews24.com.
She is now staying in Virginia with her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy and his family. Joy said in a Facebook post on the 70th birthday of Hasina on Thursday that she was ‘recovering well’.
Hasina will arrive in Dhaka on the morning of October 7, Quader, also the road transport minister, told bdnews24.com on Saturday.
The prime minister left for the US on September 17 and was scheduled to return via London on October 2.
